First Day

Hi Jacob & Leona & daddy,

I got up at 6am this morning so I could start getting adjusted to Paris time. I felt a bit nervous about traveling today. Sometimes mommy has a hard time doing new things or doing things that I haven’t done in a while. But I’m glad I’m doing this, because it helps me to grow and be more brave. 



This is a picture of me and daddy when he dropped me off at Jen Ah-Yi’s house. We rode a car together to the airport. 

Jen Ah-Yi was busy with Duke so she didn’t hear me ring the doorbell. But it was okay, the weather was really nice, so I just waited patiently outside and ate a snack. 

This is Jen Ah-Yi with Duke, she gives him frozen yogurt with food as a snack. Duke was very excited to see me and kept jumping on me. But I was supposed to ignore him so he wouldn’t pee on the ground.

And here is all 4 of us finally on the way to the airport!! I got a bit car sick though because the driver was a bit of a rough driver. But I survived. Whew. 

This was when I first got on the plane to my layover. I sat next to the window and I slept almost the entire time because I was very sleepy. 

Now I’m at the Dulles airport in Washington, DC waiting for my next flight to Belgium. It’s going to be an almost 8 hour flight I think, and I plan on eating a quick dinner and sleeping as much as I can. 

I can’t wait to show you guys more of my trip. I love you all so so so so much. Daddy, please give JJ and Mei Mei some attack kisses from me. Thanks :)

First full day in Paris

Hiiii! How was Dino Dash? And Gohan Market? Did you guys have fun with Eli and Cece?  This morning I got up early and did some writing and journaling. This was the view and it was very relaxing.  I did a little workout and we all got ready for the day. This is our mirror selfie. We got outside and it was a little drizzly but overall it was a beautiful day! We decided to get some lunch. We sat outside and had some delicious food and we people watched. There was a lot of smoke though so I got a bit nauseous at the end haha. French culture is so interesting. Food service is so slow, which is the norm here.  We are at the Seine River, which is a big river in Paris. There are a lot of very old and historic buildings alongside this river. It was beautiful and we spent the whole afternoon walking.  While walking, I saw this art display with a bunch of wooden chairs attached to the side of a building. It was so cool!! Last day before heading back home!!!

   Hi guys!!! How was your day everyone?? Did you have the day that you hoped to have? Today was our last day in Europe. I’m sad to be leaving because we didn’t get to do all the things we had wanted to do, but I’m also looking forward to being in the comfort of our home and family.  Above is our daily mirror selfie.  Then we went to breakfast at a local restaurant. We had ginger shots because some of the ah-yi’s don’t feel super well. It was very spicy, but I liked it! This was my drink- a golden latte which had tumeric, cardamom, and oat milk. It was surprisingly delicious!  And my avocado toast with cream cheese and two poached eggs. It was pretty good but also super big, so I was too full after I finished. And on the way we go to explore Brussels! We stopped at a chocolate shop. Belgium is known for its chocolate. Or it’s one of the things that it is known for. And there are chocolate stores everywheeeereeee. Rachel and Jen Ah-Yi bought two hot chocolates to drink while we walked.

Last Day in Paris & back to Brussels

Hi guys!! I miss you all too!!  I loved your audio message. Leona, what did you and Jacob order from Jason’s Deli? What was your favorite decoration at the Forum? Also, how in the world do you know all that stuff about the Mona Lisa, Jacob?  Above is a picture of Hao Ah-Yi and I at lunch. We stayed around our airbnb and picked up some last minute items. And then we finally made it to this ramen shop. It was always packed with a veeeerry long line whenever we walked by it. It was delicious! They had Japanese street sounds playing over the speakers and the decorations really made it feel like we were in Japan.  This was my soup and noodles, it was a little spicy and very creamy broth.  We walked around the neighborhood and I took this picture to remember how beautiful the city is.  Then we went to visit a library that I had wanted to go to.
